Wij ervaren het als onze roeping om verschillende vormen van menselijke creativiteit, waardoor wij ontroerd worden, door te geven aan een publiek. Vanuit verschillende generaties, oud en nieuw, en los van bepaalde genres, zoeken wij naar de oorspronkelijke artiest die op een eerlijke manier zoekt naar expressie. Samen met de zoekende artiest willen wij hiervoor risico’s nemen.

Wij zijn een artistiek project dat positieve, progressieve en vrije expressie wil stimuleren De oorsprong van ons initiatief ligt in het verlangen mensen samen te brengen rond een vuur van creativiteit, in een extase van samenhorigheid, in een vrijplaats van expressie, in een veilig nest, in gelijkheid en respect.
Het huiskamergevoel als alternatief voor de steriele cultuurhal — “Let the city swing in 1.000 living rooms” (onze openingsslogan in 2006).

De afgelopen 20 jaar hebben wij een infrastructuur opgebouwd die kleinschalig doch professioneel kan werken, en die in hoofdzaak ten dienste staat van onze eigen programmatie. Wij volgen hierbij een persoonlijke en subjectieve keuze. Publieke voorstellingen doen wij enkel wanneer wij hier zelf kunnen achter staan. Daarnaast bieden wij formules aan voor ontwikkeling en residenties.

Wij zijn organisch gegroeid midden in een woongemeenschap, en wij wensen daar rekening mee te houden. Wij zullen onze activiteiten plannen in functie daarvan.

Onze communicatie gebeurt in hoofdzaak via onze website en onze nieuwsbrieven en, Wij behouden een nostalgische liefde voor drukwerk en onthouden ons zoveel mogelijk van de gekte van de sociale media.
In onze gemeenschap van medewerkers streven wij ernaar om een zo getrouw mogelijk spiegelbeeld te geven van de maatschappij waarin wij leven. Bovenaan staat een respect voor de menselijke waardigheden.

Our mission is to bring together diverse forms of creativity, which moves us to share them with our audience — young and old, across all genders, tastes, and cultural backgrounds. We embrace the risks of working closely with artists committed to original and inventive expressions, promoting authentic works through a variety of presentations and performances.

We position ourselves as an artistic project that fosters positive, progressive, and uninhibited expression. This initiative is rooted in a desire to unite people in a shared creative experience — celebrating togetherness and appreciating authentic artistic expressions of all kinds. A safe haven of equality and respect. A “living room” atmosphere as an alternative to sterile cultural halls: “Let the city swing in 1.000 living rooms.”

Since 2006, we have built an intentionally small-scale yet professionally structured infrastructure, tailored to our own programming and cultural vision. We present only public performances that we fully support and appreciate, alongside various formats for artistic development and residencies.

Over the years, we have grown organically within a residential community — one that we respect, engage with, and draw inspiration from in shaping our activities.

Our primary communication channels are our website and newsletters. However, we maintain a nostalgic love for print media and strive to avoid the excesses of social media. Our community of collaborators reflects the diversity of the society we live in today — where respect for human dignity remains paramount.

Nous considérons qu’il est de notre vocation de transmettre à un public différentes formes de créativité humaine qui nous touchent, de différentes générations, anciennes et nouvelles, et indépendamment de certains genres. Nous recherchons l’artiste original qui cherche honnêtement à s’exprimer ; avec l’artiste en recherche, nous voulons prendre des risques.

Nous sommes un projet artistique qui veut stimuler l’expression positive, progressive et libre. L’origine de notre initiative réside dans le désir de rassembler des gens autour d’un feu de créativité, dans une extase d’unité, dans un espace d’expression libre, dans un nid sûr, dans l’égalité et le respect. Le sentiment d’être dans un salon comme alternative à la salle de culture stérile : « Laissez la ville swinguer dans 1.000 salons ».

Depuis 2006, nous avons construit une infrastructure qui peut fonctionner à petite échelle mais de manière professionnelle. Elle est principalement au service de notre propre programmation ; nous suivons un choix personnel et subjectif. Nous ne faisons des représentations publiques que lorsque nous pouvons les soutenir nous-mêmes. Nous proposons également des formules de développement et de résidence.

Nous avons grandi de façon organique au milieu d’une communauté résidentielle et nous souhaitons en tenir compte : nous planifierons nos activités en fonction de cela.

Nous conservons un amour nostalgique pour les documents imprimés et nous nous abstenons autant que possible de la folie des médias sociaux. Dans notre communauté de collaborateurs, nous nous efforçons de refléter le plus fidèlement possible la société dans laquelle nous vivons. Le respect des dignités humaines est primordial.
