mlži – "misty-People" is a project by vocalist and pianist milica hadžić (rs/be) and drummer peter balhar (cz/dk).
the duo focuses on generating rawness and discomfort through pushing the limits of acoustic performance.
milica and peter met in prague in 2022 and embarked on various collaborations and artistic phases, starting with conservative jazz and evolving into radical free improvisation. they value both radical mildness and aggressive assertiveness, incorporating elements of jazz, noise, post-punk, hyper-pop, and Serbian folk into their music.
In december 2024, they released their debut album stop scaring the customers under the Belgian label klankhaven records. on the album, they address themes of capitalism, feminism, and subvert expectations around music genres.

since 2018, gregory duby, guitar (k-branding, jesus is my son, solah) and david.c, drums (vitas guerulaitis, tat2noisact) have been inventing their own sect.

based in cosmopolitan brussels, the two musicians compose oriental tracks where dick dale met munir bashir, ballads in the dessert like a turkish fraternity that was home to the doors, or lyrical songs invoking an icon of vilvoorde with tambourine and syrian slidethe invocation of an ancient icon from vilvoorde with a syrian slide.

grégory and david fearlessly combine oriental with local arrangements; their music is close to omar korshid's, 75 dollar bill's, popol vuh's and sir richard bishop's side project "the freak of araby".
their eponymous album supported by a plethora of belgian and french labels, is made up, among other things, of precise tracks such as "longa d" with its surf accents and more free or ethereal tracks such as " syria" or "ethiopia".
