patient, explorative and dynamic. solely with their two instruments - piano and cello - salenta and topu make wistful and contemplative music that evokes vignettes of home, falling asleep with someone you love, learning to soothe yourself. the keys tiptoe through space at some moments, and pirouette ecstatically at others. the cello provides a sonic backbone that glows like amber. when the two met, and decided to start jamming together, their connection was instant: both artists envision music as healing and hope that listeners feel the peacefulness and liberation they experience while playing it.

susannah stark & band are an experimental ensemble from glasgow playing an extended folk session in mystical locations around the govan stones, river clyde & underground streamlets. with songs & soundscapes emerging from vocalist, songwriter & visual artist susannah stark's longstanding interest in the art of song as a tool for healing and change, a process by which she aims to give voice to the unfathomable aspects of everyday life and create an immersive, tactile experience of sound and voice for listeners to connect, feel deeply and express.

‍susannah first presented her work with song collaborating with mc don hayden in 5.1 surround sound at art basel miami in 2016, before going on to release a debut solo album ‘time together hues and intensities' with belgian label stroom, that was featured in mojo magazine's 2020 best of year charts and has had over 3.5K streams worldwide.

‍since then she joined forces with trumpet player phil cardwell, drummer laurie pitt, and accordionist caroline hussey to create ‘mion-phuingean' ‘minor gestures' an upcoming release on Night school and stroom in 2025.

they haveplayed live in scotland, the uk and europe at radiophrenia, ceòl is craic, cafe oto, supernormal, intonal, meakusma, futura resistenza festival and more. their music has been played on late junction, bbc 6 music and its radio among others.
